Research abstract
Bright Apps LLC is developing a blockchain-enabled supply chain management solution that enhances procurement efficiency, automates compliance, and provides end-to-end visibility across Navy acquisition programs. Our solution advances from Phase II prototyping to full-scale Phase III deployment, directly supporting the Navy in executing Smart Contracts for Strategic Systems Programs (SSP). We will manage and execute these contracts across multiple supply chain layers to enable real-time tracking of suppliers and deliverables.ÝÝIntegrating decentralized ledger and smart contracts technology, we create a system that generates secure, immutable, and auditable records of every procurement transaction. This full traceability provides a complete and transparent history of all supply chain activities, empowering stakeholders to perform detailed analyses and monitor compliance. Moreover, our smart contracts automatically execute pre-defined actions when specific events occur, such as triggering alerts for non-compliance, halting transactions when counterfeit parts are detected, or initiating corrective workflows, ensuring proactive risk mitigation and operational efficiency. Our blockchain solution delivers foundational data for robust analysis and enables dynamic, real-time responses that reinforce supply chain integrity while maintaining strict controls over sensitive pricing data. We design the system for seamless compatibility with the existing supply chain risk management (SCRM) and supply chain illumination tools used by SSP and the Navy, ensuring smooth data transfer and interoperability.ÝÝBright Apps applies blockchain and enterprise software expertise to deliver a scalable, secure supply chain solution that enhances operational readiness. Our system strengthens resilience, mitigates risks, and improves decision-making with real-time supplier insights. While focused on DoD applications, it also supports federal agencies, prime contractors, and commercial industries requiring secure, transparent procurement.ÝAs we transition from Phase II prototyping to full-scale Phase III deployment, we will focus on integrating our solution into multiple Navy and DoD procurement programs beyond SSP, ensuring seamless adoption across defense supply chains. This initiative will expand into additional federal agencies, such as DLA and DHS, and drive adoption by prime contractors and defense suppliers that require enhanced Nth-tier supply chain visibility. With our proven expertise, Bright Apps stands ready to scale this technology for widespread implementation, reinforcing procurement efficiency, automating compliance, and mitigating risks. Our solution will broaden its impact across DoD and federal use cases by strengthening supply chain resilience and operational readiness, establishing Bright Apps as a trusted leader in secure, data-driven supply chain automation.
