Research abstract

Surmet is a developer and manufacturer of ALON® transparent armor products that are lightweight, thin and field durable. Through discussions with Army ESA and DLA, Surmet has identified a set of high-demand transparent armor NSN’s that critically need Source development. Surmet has already developed and successfully deployed transparent armor products with similar requirements. Through Phase II work, Surmet plans to become an Approved Source for these NSN’s, enabling participation in future DLA procurements.
