Research abstract

OWL Integrations, Inc. is a startup technology company based out of New York, NY whose mission is to improve global resilience through secure, adaptable sensor and communications networks. Founded commercially, OWL has developed disaster-resilient communications networks, methane emissions detection networks for Oil & Gas, and maritime aquaculture monitoring networks.  OWL’s experience customizing its DuckLink sensor network product to defense use cases has yielded previous success in developing specialized solutions for US Defense. The following proposal describes Research and Development that aligns with the US Army 25.4 SBIR Phase 1 opportunity for developing a secure wireless data transfer solution for predictive logistics. For this US Army 25.4 SBIR Phase 1 opportunity, OWL proposes research and development that aims to evaluate the feasibility of OWL’s low-SWAP DuckLink network as a cost-effective solution for predictive logistics networks.  This US Army 24.5 SBIR Phase 1 identifies three technical objectives:Objective 1. Develop and Deploy Secure, Real-Time DSC Integration to DuckLink. Objective 2. Optimize DuckLink Mesh Networks for US Army Scenarios and Environments Objective 3. Integrate Data Analytics and US Army Dashboard for Predictive Logistics Successful delivery will effectively evaluate the feasibility of further iterating OWL's commercial technology to a defense-focused solution for predictive logistics.  OWL will share results with several US Army units OWL actively collaborates with including Army Rangers and 5th SFG USASOC, as well as the greater US Department of Defense. These units include ideal collaborators, customers, and end-users of OWL’s technology, as well as SBIR Phase 2 sponsors.
